'The Making of The Railway Children' book
|
29 March 2010

Two years on from its official launch at Oakworth station by Mr Richard Mervyn (son of 'Old Gentleman' actor William Mervyn) our acclaimed book on the making of The Railway Children film continues to be in great demand.
Originally published to coincide with the film's 40th anniversary celebrations, it describes the making of the film as seen through the eyes of the railway volunteers who were actually involved over forty years ago. It includes around 70 colour and B&W photographs, many of which have never been published before, showing the railway, actors and crew during the making of the film. It also gives information on the filming, behind-the-scenes gossip and trivia, personal recollections of railway staff and much more.
"A wonderful and modestly priced publication, fully worthy of its place as a tribute to the making of quite possibly the best children's film ever made" - Reviewer comment on Amazon
