Friday 26th June (Main Line Shuttle Trains)

TICKETING ARRANGEMENTS - UPDATE: Following feedback, we have decided that there will be a "mainline trains only" ticket for the above gala, which will allow travel on the KWVR Mainline steam / diesel shuttle trains between Keighley & Settle Junction. It will not allow travel on the evening Ribblehead excursion as this is fully reserved. The ticket is available from Keighley Station KWVR Ticket Office, or from the ticket inspector on the train. It is priced at £22.

Monday 22nd June ('Ribblehead Special' Tickets)

Due to overwhelming demand, we have managed to secure extra capacity on our Saturday evening Ribblehead Special Train. Tickets are limited and are likely to sell very quickly. Bookings for the new selection of tickets will commence 9am on Monday on 01535 645214. Be sure not to miss out again on this one off occasion!.

Monday 22nd June (Diesel Locomotive)

We understand that West Coast Railways locomotive No. 37.516 will be at the southern end of the main line services on Saturday and Sunday and will operate a fixed formation set with steam locomotive 'Leander' at the northern end.

Friday 19th June (Steam Gala Tickets)

Advance tickets sales have now finished, however tickets will be freely available at KWVR booking offices throughout the Gala Weekend. Further details and prices below

Thursday 14th May (Mini Footexes in Haworth Yard)

Due to Health & Safety implications, we very much regret that the planned Footplate Rides in Haworth Yard will now NOT take place. The planned guided tours of the yard and sheds will however continue as normal.

A fabulous THREE DAY feast of steam with all available KWVR-based locomotives in traffic, plus visiting locomotives Great Central Railway Class '8K' (LNER 04) 2-8-0 No. 63601 and LMS Jubilee Class No. 45690 'Leander'. Highlights include:

Friday 26 June
Morning "pickup" freight hauled by 47279 departs Keighley at 0945 and collects wagons from Ingrow and Oakworth yards on its way to Oxenhope.
 
Banked "Engineers" train departs Keighley at 1300.
 
Regular vintage trains all day, all line vintage train hauled by 957 and 85 departs Keighley at 1430.
 
All line non stop express train hauled by 36301 departs Keighley at 1525.
 
Friday early evening all line vintage train hauled by Bahamas Locmotive Society "Nunlow" No. 1704 departs Keighley at 1810 and returns from Oxenhope at 1915.
 
Saturday 27 June
Up to 9 locomotives in steam.
 
Main line steam trains to Skipton, Helliefield and Settle Junction depart Keighley at 0935, 1205 & 1544.
 
Morning "engineers" train departs Ingrow at 0750 to Oxenhope hauled by 36301.
 
Frequent vintage train shuttles between Keighley and Ingrow all day.
 
Non stop express train between Keighley and Haworth hauled by 63601 departs Keighley at 1535.
 
Evening steam hauled excursion to Ribblehead & Blea Moor departs Keighley at 1840 (advance booking essential).
 
NOTE: All line day rover ticket allows UNLIMITED travel on trains between Oxenhope, Keighley, Skipton and Helliefield including Northern rail services.
 
Sunday 28 June
Up to 9 locomotives in steam.
 
Main line steam trains to Skipton, Helliefield and Settle Junction depart Keighley at 0940, 1215 & 1526.
 
957 shuttle with Lancashire and Yorkshire vintage coaches departs Keighley at 1300.
 
Vintage trains hauled by Bahamas Locomotive Society Nunlow No. 1704 depart Keighley at 1345 & 1710.
 
Non stop express train between Keighley and Haworth hauled by 41241 & 80002 departs Keighley at 1550.
 
NOTE: All line day rover ticket allows UNLIMITED travel on trains between Oxenhope, Keighley, Skipton and Helliefield including Northern rail services.

Notes On Fares:

ALL LINES DAY ROVER - tickets provide unlimited travel on KWVR branch trains, Keighley to Hellifield shuttles, and Northern Rail services betweeen Keighley and Hellifield. They do not include the Saturday evening Ribblehead excursion, for which a separate ticket must be purchased - see details above.

CHILD FARES - apply to children aged five to fifteen inclusive

FAMILY TICKETS - are valid for up to two adults and three children

UNDER FIVES - travel free

KWVR ONLY TICKETS - these will continue to be available as normal

 

Guided Tours ......

There will be Behind The Scenes guided tours on all three Gala Days, which will included tours of Haworth Locomotive Works, Oxenhope Carriage & Wagon works, and a connecting heritage bus service. There will be a small supplementary charge for the tours and advance booking is not required.

HAWORTH SHED TOURS commence at 10.10 and run every hour until 16.10. Assemble on Haworth forecourt or, if wet, in the station booking hall

OXENHOPE SHED TOURS commence at 10.10 and run hourly until 16.10. Assemble in Oxenhope Exhibition Shed.

HAWORTH to OXENHOPE buses commence at 11.00 and run hourly until 17.00

OXENHOPE to HAWORTH buses commence at 10.50 and run hourly until 16.50

 

Railway Children Charity Walk & Fun Day

This popular event takes place in Haworth Park between 11am and 5pm on Sunday 28th June.

It is held in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and (subject to engagements) Jenny Agutter will be attending.
